Grackles or Blackbirds ? NJ (1 Viewer)

I'm fairly sure these are Common Grackles but wanted to be sure that I've eliminated Rusty Blackbird as the Sibley guide shows the latter with a spalyed tail. Their yellow iris is clear in the image.
