Image quality of the Diascope 85 (1 Viewer)

The Diascope 85 have a good image quality at 60X or it is dim compared with others scopes?

Hola Paulo,

It is depend on the issue, wich ones would you compare the Zeiss with. Until the last year I should say that "yes, the Zeiss Diascope 85 is the best big scope at 60x magnification". Since then, many company have had new modells and that top brand scopes are better in some caracteristics. Now seems that the Kowa 883-884 are more precise at big magnifications.

The new Leica and Swaro with zoom oculars until 50x magnification both are very good. But you can see that many company deleted the 60x magnification from their lists. So may be the Zeiss remains one of the best scope at 60x.

I have mentioned only the alpha producers. The Zeiss clearly better than any other cheap brand offering telescopes.
