DMC-FZ20 and a DMW-LT55 (1 Viewer)

Hi all: Just joined the forum and recently moved to British Columbia. I'm using a Lumix DMC-FZ20 (had it for some time) and I want to push the zoom. Two questions:
1. Do you need an adapter to attach the DMW-LT55 to the existing lens? The Panasonic site doesn't say anything.
2. If you have this combination, what's your opinion?

Thanks to all for your feedback
Mark

The DMW-LT55 was designed for a later generation of Panasonic cameras, the original lens designed for your camera was the DMW-LT10, long out of production.

Unfortunately I would expect the demand for an adaptor for this combination to be extremely low. Panasonic (and others) clearly expect their customers to 'upgrade' every few years, even if their products continue to provide good service for many years. The 5 megapixel camera era produced many excellent cameras that have stood the test of time for many people, after that the race to cram as many pixels into a small space started that didn't always produce better images.

If no-one else responds you will find that if you search for DMC-FZ20 tele you will find a number of people selling allegedly compatible tele lenses and adaptors for you camera. Quality unknown.

Many folks might suggest that now may be a good time to consider an upgrade if you are unable to find a suitable adaptor and you really want that longer reach.
