Yesterday, Robert M. Sides had an "invitation only" door buster sale. The item I wanted was a Boss BR 600 8-track digital recorder, so I could make my answer to "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" (which was recorded on 4-track but "ping ponged" to make 8 tracks). Les Paul invented the multi-track recorder, but George Martin made it into an art form.

Doors opened at 12. Second day out driving, but it still takes a long time to get in and out of the Gemini space capsule, and then crutch it up the hill to the store entrance.

Passing me on the way was a young Asian student (a local, his parents are probably profs). He forgot his iPad, so he went back to his car (an old BMW 320i).

Turned out he wanted the recorder too, so when the store finally open we asked the store manager flip a coin.

WHY DIDN'T I PICK TAILS? I THOUGHT TAILS IN MY HEAD BUT BLURTED OUT "HEADS!" LIKE RALPHIE BLURTED OUT THE "F" WORD IN "A CHRISTMAS STORY".

Good Grief! So the rich kid with the iPad got the 8-track recorder for $129.95. What a revoltin' development!

So I crutched it back to the car, did the Houdini to contort myself into the driver's seat w/out bending my bad leg too far (and from screaming, "BLOODY MURDER!"), and then went to the store and purchased a bag of anti-depressants (Raisinettes).

Well, I'll make up for that misfortune by winning a ZR Prime ED! TAILS! TAILS!

The random post that wins the day;
Provides me with my new Zen-Ray
Binoculars that pave the way
For birding highs so I can say
I really saw that Garganey!

o:D

Well folks, my new bins, are now on their way,
For which I am grateful, courtesy Zen-Ray,
Some of you may wonder, why I'm still posting here,
So let me make it, Crystal-View clear,

For even though, I've only one set of eyes,
Little Eagle's had a daughter, to terrorise the skies,
Sometimes she roams way up high, and seldom comes down,
I'll need some higher powered bins, for the new girl in town,

Now these old eyes are a bit dodgy, and in need of a rest,
But add some glasses, and they're four of the best,
Although without my specs, I'm as blind as a bat,
Couldn't see the side of a barn, let alone a gnat,

So the 10 powers will need, plenty of ER,
As well as a Flat-Field, to see a pin-point star,
In the picaninny dawn, or days end twilight,
Vivid-Brite coatings, will be a delight,

When a falcon tears through, I'll need a Speed-Dial,
Especially if I hope to keep focus, for more than a while,
And if its dull n cloudy, I'll demand complete control of CA,
'Cause I don't want warholesque birds, to spoil my day,

A Swaro should be able, to do all of that,
But I ain't got a spare 2G, tucked under my hat,
So consider this an order, from the Cosmos to me,
I'm going to have to win, a PrimeHD,

I can feel 'em in my hands,
and I can see 'em now,
Dielectrically bright, big flat field of view,
Truly eye popping WOW,

Holy cow here they come, right on cue,
Lucky me, straight out of the blue!

Chosun :gh:
