Talking Birds (1 Viewer)

They would have to assign the human word to a concept in their surroundings, and it would have to take the majority of parrots in the flock to constantly mutter "apples, apples" when feeding on an apple tree in order for young ones to associate it with particular fruit. I think most escapee parrots are of non-talking species. The scenario in the TV series calls for all humans to disappear *puff* and their talking pet parrots to escape and form flocks.
Of the other possible talking birds (corvids and mynahs) I think they already have their own "words" for everything they need to communicate in their normal habitat and do not need to talk human.

Oh, you're talking about that show, I think it was on the discovery channel and I think it was called Earth after People, or something like that? I'm talking about this documentary I saw about wild birds, like African Greys. I heard they were the best "Talkers", is this true?
