Early warblers,or overwintering birds?
I had a male Blackcap in my garden yesterday and Ive heard chiffchaff a couple of times this week.Is it too early or about the right time to expect them.

Britain enjoys a mix of overwintering blackcaps (especially in the SW of England) and some migrants from Europe, which begs the question of how bad the winters in Europe are that a blackcap will fly north rather than to balmy Africa.
