Larger Gulls that hang out at trash dumps (1 Viewer)

Greetings,
What are some of the larger species of Gulls that hang around garbage dumps and fishing docks?
Thanks
Basically any of the white Larus gulls... juveniles are particularly difficult to tell apart and you have to practice. My ebird group decided to use combo name in ebird lists for any gulls of the two very similar species (see my link below) unless we are sure that a certain individual belongs to a certain species. Juveniles and immatures flying around (so bill and head shapes are not prominent) are very difficult to identify unless you are practiced and/or talented. I think you should look at your state's list on ebird to see which species are reported with greatest frequencies, and then practice telling rarer species apart from them.
