"bgat" (1 Viewer)

7x42 BGAT*P Dialyt owner; brilliant optics. I bought them 30 years ago and they are still one of the best, brightest, and sharpest binoculars I have ever used. I'm curious about what the BGAT refers to. My understanding is the B references eye relief - no clue why B.

G??

A presumably armored. T the 'transmission' coating. P the phase contrast prism and Dialyt refers to the Dialyte lens design.

Many thanks in advance for your time.

Zeiss 10x56 BAT*P, 7x42 BGAT*P, 10x25 BT* (& a lovely set of Mk III 35mm cine Super Speeds)
