Least Waste Feeder (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone.

My window feeders have been up for approximately two weeks and the birds are getting used to feeding from them. In one feeder I have a sunflower-safflower mix, and the other is a generic seed mix from Home Depot. They are both in a hopper style feeder. The sunflower-safflower mix never gets "dumped" to the ground, pobably because the House Sparrows are not interested in it. However the generic seed mix is consistently emptied from the second feeder daily. If you look at the ground underneath the feeders, it is covered in uneaten seed.

So my question is, what is the best least waste bird feeder? Moreoever, is there a better type of seed to purchase for that feeder, or for a new feeder that I would buy to replace it? I want to attract a variety of birds, so I would be happy to buy a better seed.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
