am hoping to visit peru this year, hopefully taking in cuzco, macchu picchu, manu road, lake titicaca, arequipa, paracas.

my original plan was to visit in august however for various reasons october may be preferable. Is that still a good time to go??

Have never visited south america before so am not too bothered about specific species, am also prepared to put up with a bit of rain providing it doesn't e.g. completely knock out whole days, make trails super muddy, vastly increase journey times etc. etc.

anyone have any opinions??

thanks,

James

Hi, James, october is still a good month to visit Peru, because the rainy season is not strong, the strongest rains begin in late November and in December, last year I guided birding groups in November and December and we had any problems.

The main problem is the road to Manu, but in October there are no problems, usually.

Grettings.
