Tree Pipit Song Flight (1 Viewer)

We watched a tree pipit for about 10 minutes this morning. After initially bounding up off the ground and chasing another (presumably) tree pipit for a second or two, he gained altitude singing the whole time, then went into a high hover for at least 6 or 7 minutes. Came down to the top of a pine tree, hung out for a bit, then repeated the high hover.

Over all it, reminded a bit like Skylark behavior. Definitely not a Skylark though. Does it sound like normal tree pipit behavior, or did I likely misidentify it? Location is Bydgoszcz, Poland.

Yes Tree Pipits sing in flight as Skylarks (and Woodlarks) and Meadow Pipits do (the song of the Meadow Pipit is very different).
Here in Brittany they started to display and sing about 2 weeks ago.
