These were taken in August this year. I think two of them may be female moorhens but have no idea on the duck with a white patch ? Do mallards have white patches, I thought they were blue ? Thanks in advance for your expertise.

Gadwalls have a white Speculum, which is usually very obvious in flight, and you are right: Mallards have a blue speculum.
