Hi All

I think this is a greenfinch, maybe juvenile?

But it does not have the yellow edge on the wing?

Upton Warren reserve, UK.

Yes, it's a Greenfinch - a male, I'd say. I can see the yellow on the wing, though it is not particularly easy to make out.

It's a Greenfinch as you suspected. You can just make out the yellow on the primary edges (females have less yellow than males, and the wing is also tightly folded making it more difficult to see). The brown mantle/scapulars make it resemble an Oriental Greenfinch (always possible as an escapee) but it isn't one.

Yes Greenfinch, looks like a female in very strong light.
