Male or female grackle? (US, Massachusetts)

Sorry to bother you all with questions about such common birds. I am a total newbie. I think I can distinguish the juvenile grackle from the adult (the eye is darker in the juvenile). However, I am having trouble distinguishing the adult male and female. I think maybe I have never seen an adult male, just adult females in different lighting conditions. What do you think? That's pretty much as shiny as this one got.

I believe you are right about the eye colour in juveniles.

Adults in New England tend to show the bronze sheen on the body as in your photo.

I think females tend to be generally smaller & duller than males - you may need to see both together for comparison.

Thanks, Pete. Here's another that might be the female. I think she just had a bath. I just expected the male to have more color in his body.
