Who is OCK? (1 Viewer)

I picked up a pair of Bushnell Featherlight 8X30 binoculars made in Occupied Japan and above the 8x30 it says ock in a dome. I have never heard of OCK, have they made binoculars I should have heard of?

The binoculars are in great shape, luckily it seems they spent most of their life in the hard pigskin case which took the brunt of the wear. They are probably a military design since they have IF eyepieces and the fact that they were made right after the war.

Don't know the answer, but will be interesting if anyone does. They look the same pattern as the US 6x30 Military binoculars, B&L, REL, universal camera corp etc. As they pre date JB numbers it may well be a makers mark, like Oshiro Kogaku. O for the company name, with the C for Company centered, and K for Kogaku which is Japanese for optical = Oshiro Company Optical
