After recounting my very negative experience with the 443 on this forum, I received an email from Fabio Prada of Manfrotto in Italy. The tripod is now winging its way to Italy for inspection by the manufacturer. I had also posted a similar message on UK Birdnet's forum. Wow, the power of the net, eh!
