Central America (1 Viewer)

I am wondering where Central America officially turns into North America. I think it's the Isthmus of Tehuantepec but I'm not sure. I presume Central America turns into South America where Panama meets Columbia.

Geographically North America (which includes Central America) is separated from South America by the Isthmus of Panama. By political separation, Mexico is in North America and Colombia is in South America. Everything in between these two is Central America.

And then Latin America is the Spanish (or Portuguese) speaking countries including Mexico, Central America, and South America.

The Isthmus of Tehuantepec is a dividing line for flora and fauna. It is where the neotropics start. To the north is the Holarctic region. So it is yet another category to consider along with geographical and political. I hope that helps, a bit late a night to think about the details. By the way it is so so windy there!!

Minor point here, to the North, in North America would be the Nearctic region.
Holarctic would also include the Palearctic region of Europe, Asia, and Northern Africa.
