RFI: Contacts of guides for Sulawesi and Halmahera
Hi,
Would appreciate any recommendation on birding guides in Sulawesi and Halmahera? My key targets are the 2 pittas (Ivory-breasted and Red-Bellied) , 2 Birds-of-paradise, Maleo, Moluccan Scrubfowl and the nightbirds. Hope to find a guide that knows where to find these birds. Thanks for any advice. Cheers, Js |

Hi ljs
The easiest place to look for Maleo is probably at Tambun. The person to contact there is Max, email: maxwellylela[AT]yahoo.com. Max is a park official who can arrange permits, transport and accommodation at his home as well as guide you. Hope this helps. |
