Thanks for the link, very interesting. I bought the 100-400mm Mk1 a couple of weeks before Canon announced the Mk2. I'm not unhappy with it - it's sharp, albeit not superbly sharp - but if this new lens is priced right and is not too heavy, it could be pretty tempting.

Sadly, according to Canon Rumors, it looks like this lens is being put off until 2017...
