Wanted : Puffins to photograph (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

I just saw an episode of Birds Britannia where there appeared to be a viewing area just roped off next to puffin burrows.

Anyone know where this is?

Anyone know of any other good place to see/photograph puffins?

I'm in SE of England, but can travel.

Thanks for any help.

Mary

Yes, Farnes are the best as you can also get right up to nesting terns (wear a hat!!!), shag, eider ducks etc :t:

And Northumberland is looking absolutely amazing right now with everything bursting into life o:)

Check out the Farnes Wardens' blog - that'll tell you when seabirds are at their best :king:

Hi Mary. If you find your way up to Scotland at all then the Isle of May is superb for photographing puffins. Also very easy to photograph nesting eider, razorbill, guilliemot, fulmar, shag, terns, and usually a few seals around too. Good luck wherever you go, Mark.
