Kingfishers (1 Viewer)

Sadly Kingfishers got hit hard with that harsh winter and many didn't make it so even reliable sites in the past are probably deserted now. Just have walks along the rivers local to your area and be sure to listen out for their distinctive high-pitched "peeps" they make as they fly which will give you the best indication of whether they are around or not.

mmm, read something that said "Pennington Flash" had Kingfishers.
can nyone confirm?
where on the site?
thanks, Leon

Pennington Flash has had (for some years) at least 1 Kingfisher but as Jaff said many local KF's have died due to the severe weather......hopefully you will find one.
