I am sure this is a Black-Headed Gull too, but I am looking at "Gulls of Europe etc etc" and it does not match any of the illustrations. Can someone enlighten me please?

Yep, adult winter Black-headed Gull. It is being a bit lazy and hanging its wings below its tail, perhaps that's what is making it look a bit different?

Hi Nutcracker, That's an adult winter taken yesterday, all these gulls were in Grafham dam yesterday late evening! I just don't get it.

Thanks answered on another post.
