Finch -- Growth on beak (1 Viewer)

This is a bit of a strange question and I wasn't sure where to post it. I saw this finch yesterday and noticed it had an unusual growth near it's beak. Any idea what it may be?

What you are seeing here is Avian Pox. It's important that you thoroughly clean your feeders periodically so this is not transmitted to other birds.

Wow. Thanks for the info and link. I am new to bird feeding/watching and had no idea. I will definitely take down feeders and clean them with bleach as the site recommends.
