Rufes-naped lark? or Stark's lark? (1 Viewer)

This bird was shot on a farm towards Potchefstroom about 150km west from Johannesburg.

The birds were hiding in the grass, sometimes walking with their heads forward. I was unable to get too close. Sorry the picture is not great.
It had a distint crest.

ARGH! An African Lark!

Well, at least it shows a crest, so I can only completely agree with Steve on the id... Compared with Stark's Lark, note bill and facial markings. Not possible to see decently on the photo, but otherwise also note colour of lower belly and wing.
