Slik Tripod Head (1 Viewer)

I could do with a bit of advice. I have a Slik CF614 Tripod which is an excellent lightwieght tool for non dedicated birding holidays. Unfortunately it comes with a SH704E head which is problematic. It is stiff and jerky when overloaded with a Canon IS400. Does anyone know know of a decent lightwieght head which will fit on Slik legs preferably with a Slik or Manfrotto quick release?
