Hijack via Netgear wizard? (1 Viewer)

Strange incident this morning. The icon on my Mac top sites for google search replaced itself with what seems to be the Netgear set-up wizard, but has now reverted to google search. I have a Netgear extender and I can see a mywifiext URL in history, which looks authentic to my inexpert eye and leads to what looks like Netgear.

Does anyone know if the above can happen innocently, or should I be fretting that I have had a visit from something bad?

As ever, thanks in advance for any assistance.
