New Jersey hummers (1 Viewer)

I had a male earlier than I've ever had, a week later a female for a few days and now nothing in the 10 days. Was wondering if all the Blue Jays were driving them off.

female

Had my first female here at home today. Saw a male at work, my staff said he showed up Friday......hovering at the front door. :t::t::t::t::t:

Finially, I had a male in the last two days. He is sitting in the top of one of my trees right now. Only about 50 feet away but getting too dark and is too overcast to get a decent photo.:-C

Hey,

I have not seen a hummer here in Northern Virginia so far this year. Given the weather we have had here (very warm) I am surprised not to have seen any.

I try to get one feeder out in mid April, but put it out the first of April this year. Think that what we usually see then are those guys who are heading north but stop to refuel.

Was concerned, but happy to read that they seen to be a bit late this year. Go figure.

Ciao

Dick
