Reared by magpie pair in Languedoc, France (1 Viewer)

We currently have this bird in our garden, being reared by a pair of magpies. Please excuse our ignorance, but we do not think it is a magpie chick? Can anyone tell us what it is? It just sits in the oak trees calling at intervals until eventually one of the magpies returns with some food. Our garden is in the Languedoc region of South West France.
thanks,

Hi Sue & Dave,

A warm welcome to BirdForum from all the Moderators and Admin. Glad to have you on board :t:

Excellent pic of of your garden visitor.

As Robin says, excellent picture. More people are likely to enjoy it if you upload to the gallery portion of Birdforum than if you only put it in this thread.
