First, let me say a warm welcome to everyone!
Secondly,I have an emergency! My cats climbed a tree and dragged some bluejays down and started to slaughter them! I happened to save one in time,it screaming it"s head off. It's a baby bluejay. It can see and it,s constantly crying for food, food, dood! I gave it a well chopped up nightcrawler segments, every hour just a wee bit. I read something about they have to be fed like every 20 min.Anyway what do I do to keep it alive?I can't give it back to it's mom for various reasons:I don't know which tree. The cats will climb back up and get it again. The are not MY cats,so I can't lock them in the house. They are little terrors! What do I do? Please help? Any advise will be most appreciated.Kind of food? When will I know when it's time to release it to the wild?Etc.One of you 's must be an expert on Jays.Smile.Thanks!Emergency!

Good luck. I have always sort advice from a vet or someone with proven knowledge, for initial care of a wild bird.
