Agreed but the but the lack of range maps is frustrating to some.

I'd suggest using Robson alongside the new Arlott guide which does have range maps.

The Arlott guide has them, hidden in the back.
I also recommend the large Robson, and if you want an additional smaller book for the field, either Arlott or Robsons consise edition.
There is also a book for Cambodia, i don't know it but i recall some good reviews: http://www.nhbs.com/the-birds-of-cambodia-book

In this case, I think the OP is talking about a field guide but reports are good too of course.
I wonder how many birders do Cambodia independantly these days and how many bother to produce a report?
