I'm new to this so bear with me! Joined because I am interested in learning more about migratory routes of osprey. Have spent a wonderful summer watching several osprey nest cams, in particular the Loch Arkaig nest cam through the Woodland Trust. I know they'll be starting their migration soon and am reluctant to say goodbye to them! I am tracking a couple of U.S. osps (Flow and Staddler) through Animal Tracker but would like to track Scottish ospreys as well. Not sure if this is possible. I hope if anyone out there looks to the skies for migrating osprey that they'll keep me posted if they see a Scottish osprey with a blue tag on left leg, bearing the number JH4. Thanks.

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum :t:

Amazing how I find out about a new Osprey webcam from someone in the States LOL

I've been watching the Loch of the Lowes webcam through the summer. The female has now started her migration leaving the two chicks in the care of the father.

Who is JH4?

Hi LisaKennedy and a warm welcome from me too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi. Welcome to the Forum. Looking forward to reading your posts. :t:
Rich

Ps my brother was watching 3 Ospreys a couple of days ago. I presume they were from Glaslyn.

Hi Delia, I've been flitting from chat room to website to blog and time just flew since I posted my first Hello on BirdForum. JH4 was the youngster (Parents: Louis and Aila) from Loch Arkaig. He was ringed in July. Because he was not satellite tagged I've been requesting news from potential spotters/viewers in case anyone sees him on his travels through Spain and Portugal and West Africa (unless he decides to winter in Spain or Portugal!). A truly feisty little fellow.

Thanks very much for the update Lisa.

Good luck to all the Ospreys on their migratory travels.
