65 EDII with Meade zoom? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone used the Meade Series 4000 8-24mm zoom eyepiece with the Pentax 65 EDII spotter?

I'm thinking of going primarily with SMC XW14mm eyepiece but having some type of zoom backup and the Meade has a good price compared to the Pentax XF zoom which doesn't get consistently positive reviews.

Thanks

Yes...I have used it,,,and many others, for what I remember having read in past threads about the subject..The Meade S4000 zoom is basically the well known Vixen LV Zoom, also sold as the Televue 8-24...Good basic Zoom, with excellent eye relief and good image quality. It has the usual 40-58º AFOV found in most zooms of that generation...It works well in the pentax 65 ,reaching infinity at all magnifications ,and the price is good ..I think is a good eyepiece to complement a quality wide angle like the XW14.
