Could anybody please I.D. this insect .Flying in garden yesterday The second shot shows his hairy rear end.

It's a tachinid fly. The black legs and distinctive dorsal stripe I believe make it Nowickia ferox. N. ferox is a parasitoid of the Dark Arches moth.
