Need help ID'ing flowering plant (1 Viewer)

In another form I browse there's a photo of a plant that no one can identify. I'm hoping someone here can help. The flower has 5 petals colored pink to yellow in the center. The petals appear on edge in the middle twisting to flat on the outer limits. There are no pistils in the middle of the plant. The owner states it has only bloomed this one time in the last seven years. Any help id'ing this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes Plumeria or Frangipani as we used to call it. Spinning the flowers would make them close up which was a source of endless amusement as a child. Obviously that was long before video games :)

Hi Roadrnr, Just some notes on the Frangapani discussion. It does grow very well here in tropical and sub tropical australia. Is very important to fertilise regularly, and to prune after flowering as that does stimulate growth. Is also available in cream/off white, pale pink dark pink, and pale peach. Is very heavily perfumed and is quite a good cut flower.

Best wishes,

Jen
