Digiscoping? (1 Viewer)

Sitting out on the porch with the 100mm at 110x. Set Canon to auto, stuck the camera in front of ep and pushed the botton. Bunny was 40 yds away.

This is my total experience with digiscoping.

Is there some simple inexpensive way of attaching my Canon A60 to the eps? I want to use the eps that I have.

Hi South,
Very nice picture. When you say 110x, is that the magnification from the scope/eyepiece combo alone or does that include the camera zoom tossed in?

I am weighing getting this one as opposed to the Orion solution which I read in reviews is a little harder to use.

Gives you a 37mm or 52mm screw thread on the camera.

Just the scope/eyepiece combo.

BTW - the original was much sharper than the thumbnail I posted. I reduced the original from 1600x1200 (700KB) to 640x480 (143KB).

I assume this solution requires threads on the ep? If so my eps have none.

Tube type digiscoping adapters which fit over the eyepiece normally attach to the camera via a thread.

As I know nothing about the eyepieces on the PF-100 I can't help with the adapter for the eyepiece end!. Sorry!.

I ordered one of the many availiable adaptors on the net. I got one of the large ones to fit my big eps. $44 including shipping. At his price I can afford to play around with it and see what kind of results I get.

I'm nothing if not a practical realist. I don't expect perfection. But it has to be better than hand-holding the camera to the lens.

If I get decent results I'll post them.
