AM a bit confused about optics quality in eyepieces.

WIth a scope body you know that an ED scope is superior to a non ed scope.

HOwever some renowned lens arent called ED. ie baader

I guess a lens with lanthanum glass is effectively an ed lens?

lens that are 70-80degree fov have more elements in than 55-60 degree lens.

will this affect optical quality?

ideally am after a lens with 60+ fov eyerelief of 15mm+ and as good an image quality as possible, if it weighs in at 50-90 quid then so much the better.....any suggestions?

(have a pentax 65ed on order)

Try searching the bin forum ... there are a couple of threads discussing what ED actually means over there (Abbe number would be a good search term).

ED glass is basically no use in an EP though other exotic (but not ED) glasses are like LaK (lanthanum crown)
