Birding in Otamendi, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina (1 Viewer)

Hi everybody. Las Sunday, 12th September, I visited the Otamendi reserve. So you can find these reserve in a map, it lies 100 Km north of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina at the margin of the Paraná river.

I saw the following birds during the day:

It sounds an outstanding place for birds, Fritz, and your list contains many spectacular species. If I ever go to Argentina, I'll try and drop in there!

What a fabulous day's birding Fritz. I'd have had 78 lifers if I'd been with you, in fact the only birds on that list I've seen are House Sparrow, Great Egret and Rock Pigeon. No wonder Argentina is one of the countries I most want to visit in the world.

It's like 2500 Km away. If you look in a Southamerican map you will find Itatiaia NP in between Sao Paulo city and Rio de Janeiro city. This reserve is near the city of Buenos Aires. As you will find out, we are speaking of to different countries: Argentina and Brasil.

Sorry, had what is known as a senior moment. Weird too because my daughter studied in Buenos Aires and it is the only city in South America I have ever visited. Beautiful city-nice people-great red wine.
