Another two birds seen in murky conditions on the North Norfolk coast.

Edit: The first one is interesting. Almost full collar, white tail sides...

The maura I look at this the maura I become interested ...the apparant complete/incomplete collar seems to be at odds with the spotted rump?

How about an intergrade Rubicola(spotted rump)/Maurus(collar)/Variegatus(white tail sides)? Or some such combination...

Maurus should have pale rump and utc's and less colorfull underparts and i think it's the same with variegatus. So this is rubicola(/hibernans), not atypical IMO - there's quite a lot of variation.
There should also be more white visible in tail in variegatus, even from these pics.

I'd go with it being a rather extreme ( but still within the parameters for - ) rubicola.
