Hi Keith,

A warm welcome to BirdForum from all the Moderators and Admin. Good to have another member from Kent :t:

You may want to post your question in the Information Wanted forum where you may get a better response.

Hi
Has anybody seen Red Grouse in Mid Wales in last 2 weeks or a reliable site for seeing Dipper in Mid Wales?
Keith

Hi Keith,

Another "Welcome to Birdforum" to you!

Give us an idea of your chosen route into Wales and the date and we should be able to tie something in for you. Example;- if you're entering Wales via the A449/A40, Abergavenny bus station (well, the Gavenny river 100 metres away!) often has a Dipper visible - they breed very close to here and can be seen year-round). Red Grouse are also possible at a few sites within @ 8 miles or so of there (Blorenge, Sugar Loaf, Mynnydd LLangattock/Llangynidr) although numbers are low.

Cheers,

Andy.
