Digiscopinig with Nikon A100

Hello, I have a Nikon Coolpix A100 compact digital camera
These are its features:

Focal lenght: 4.6-23 mm
F : f.3.2 -6.5
Display 2,7"
20 Mpx
zoom 5x

Spotting scope: Swarovski atm 80 hd a 45 with 25-50 W eyepiece

Is the digital camera ok for digiscoping? Are its features compatible with digiscoping? Is the focal lenght ok?

My puropose is to make simple pics and documentation. I'm not a pro photographer. I simply manually lay the camera on the eyepiece and make a photo

Thanks
Alex

Alex,
I guess no one has tried the A100 yet for digiscoping. Traditionally the Nikon Coolpix line has been the best for digiscoping and the lens zoom range of 26 - 130 mm should be ok. Even if there is a little vignetting it should be easily cropped out. It's always best to try it out though if you can.
Neil.
