Workflow ? (1 Viewer)

I seem to be asking a lot of questions lately, so I hope you all don't mind. anyway, I just really want to know what you guys do in terms of workflow with your images. At the moment, I use Aperture on the mac which imports the raw files and is a no destructive method. I am wondering whether I should be saving the original raw file, plus the modified/ cropped image. I'm not sure Aperture is the best software, but it seems fairly good. I would be just interested and what the norm is for storing all your photos.

Thanks again for the help. It's been great.

It's really up to you Simon - no right or wrong.

I save the RAW, a 16 bit tiff conversion, and one (or more) reworked jpeg of every file, because - really - storage is cheap enough these days to make that a realistic proposition.

I can't comment on Aperture (not a MAC user) but by all accounts it seems to be an excellent converter - it's spoken of as a viable rival to Lightroom, and that's about as good as it gets.
