Mr. Guillot's invalid Louisiana (Plumbeous/Carolina) Chickadee (1 Viewer)

Minor tiny, addition regarding ...

guilloti as in:
• the invalid "Penthestes carolinensis guilloti" OBERHOLTZER 1938 (here) [syn. (Parus) Poecile carolinensis agilis SENNETT 1888]

Today's HBW Alive Key tells us:
guilloti
James P. Guillot (fl. 1935) US lawyer, zoologist, Secretary of Lousiana Department of Conservation (syn. Poecile carolinensis agilis).
... which I would like to expand into:
= James Perrier Guillot, of New Orleans, Director for the division of fur and wildlife, Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Conservation, Editor of Louisiana Conservation Review, ... etc., etc. He is mentioned several times, by his full name, in the same journal as the OD, like for examle, on p.745 (here) or in the Index, on p. 761 (here). Also mentioned in the New Orleans City Guide(!), also from 1938 , but there only as "James P. Guillot" here (p.95).

However none of his years found, neither of his birth nor death.

Take it for what its worth!

Björn

PS. I doubt it´s this guy, here. Note the inscription "Pvt US Army"! But who knows ...? If so, surely an odd end for a "Lawyer"!

MyHeritage [here] suggests, in its usual half-concealed style:
James Perrier Guillot was born circa 1889, at birth place, Louisiana, to Cleophas Guillot and Victorine Guillot.
James had 4 siblings: Victor Guillot and 3 other siblings.
[Cleophas Guillot], [Victorine Guillot] and [Victor Guillot] are all buried in the same cemetery as Private James P. Guillot... Note also Victorine's middle name.

Full text:

James P. Guillot (b.1887) was an American zoologist who was trained as a lawyer and was Secretary, Louisiana Department of Conservation.

So the year of death is still the room to improve this entry.

He is listed as Private because the US veterans administration gives all Vets a free funeral, burial and headstone and these always state the highest rank that is he individual attained.

"Usual occupation: Lawyer" seems OK indeed.
He would have been a Private in WWI ("Name war: World" in 1941), then, I presume.

We had him in plain view from the start, thus... ;)
