Bald Eagle nest cam - First egg of 2003!! (1 Viewer)

In the western part of Massachusetts the Northeast Utilities System has installed a nest cam over a Bald Eagle nest. The first egg of this year has been laid as the attached photo shows. This photo is copied from their web site which is:

Monday - Friday the image at the above link is updated every 5 - 15 minutes with all of that days and past days images accessible from the same page. They expect the next egg tomorrow. It will be very interesting to check up on Mom & Dad Eagle as well as the chicks once (if) they hatch..

Morning Phil! I just scrolled thru all 499 pics and it was amazing to watch the shadows across the nest change as you scrolled thru each.
Having never seen an Eagle's nest, I can only imagine just how big that nest is because the Eagles look dwarfed inside the nest and the egg almost miniscule compared to the birds and the nest. Amazing.
 
Thank you for sharing that site. It was interesting to watch the movement and the shadow its beak made. I also thought I heard a sound from the Eagle which was really interesting.
