Had a couple of hours free this morning before picking up my youngest from pre school at 1115 (the joy of being a house husband!) so went to Buffalo Creek and Lee Point to see if could refind the roosting wader flock to try and get better views and photos of the Sooty Oystercatcher and Lesser Sandplover that were there yesterday. failed on that but was treated to an hours show by two Rainbow Pitta and a single Emerald Dove.
With a supporting cast of Grey-tailed Tattler, Beach Thick-knee, Brown Booby, Green-backed and Large-billed Gerygone, Northern and Arafura Fantail a very enjoyable morning!
