Oriental Plover and much more (1 Viewer)

Spent a relaxing couple of hours birding with my four year old today. Undoubted highlights were nine Oriental Plovers on the rock ledge at Nightcliff - good if distant views. Also at the same place grey tailed tattler, pacific golden plover, greater sandplover and red necked stint. Went and checked the pools at Knuckey where had several sharp tails and wood sandpiper and first two marsh sand of the spring.
Other highlights include pair Barking Owls, single Tawny Frogmouth, Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo, Australian Pipit and Dollarbird.
A great way to while away the morning.
