Why I need to buy the new Swarovski EL's (1 Viewer)

Following on from another thread I thought it may be fun to come up with valid, fun, silly ... .whatever, reasons to buy the new 'revolutionary' Swaro's.

I already have the current model in 10x42, but last night I decided that if these new versions meet the hype then i am going to get some ... so now I need a reason.

Recently I have started to develop a form of tunnel vision ... except its not that I am losing outer edge vision, its that everything around the edge looks like its curving inwards.

Following a series of tests, a team of specialists has concluded that my brain is over compensating from using binoculars too much. So when I am using bins it appears I am automatically flattening the image and the issue is that it’s doing the same even when I am not using them.

These experts have advised that I must stop using binoculars immediately or the damage will become worse and possibly permanent.

“Of course darling you realize that I am unable to give up my life’s passion of birding and therefore it seems incredible timing that a new binocular has just become available that may very well be the answer to my medical condition”.

You don,t need an excuse , you need the money, simple. You might spend it on something else thats not really required.

Tell her you're investing in some 'Swarovski' products as an investment for her future happiness . . .

( . . . She might think it's diamonds or something for her . . . no harm in her being a teensy bit misled. After all if you're happier, it's bound to rub off on her at some point down the line . . )

;)

They're so perfect that most consumers will doubt the hype and fail to purchase enough of the new model to keep it in production. If you don't buy one of the dwindling stock now, perhaps sooner, you'll never have another opportunity. It's the only fiscally responsible and sensible thing to do.

Frau Heidi works on the assembly line and is using all her income to support her elderly grandmother on life support.

You wouldn't want to be directly responsible for the death of a sweet Austrian grandmother now, would you?

With the immanent credit crunch looming my personal advisor recommended I needed to look as far ahead as possible and re-invest my portfolio in diamond orientated businesses.

You really do not like your wife and you want to get out of your marriage in a hurry.

;)
No, much as though you love your wife, you need to remind her every so often that you still have some backbone, and will spend a fortune on some caprice just for the hell of it. Alternatively, spending this amount of money, you can assure her, will operate as an incentive to give up alcohol/tobacco/marijuana/crack cocaine for a year in order to compensate for said caprice.

Are they that good? I thought we were just talking about a new model, not a supermodel . .

Exactly. It's the Multiplier Effect we have to think of. Heidi makes a salary from your purchase, shops for granny at the market, and buys matches from the barefoot, orphan Little Austrian Match-Girl on the corner. It's not just the Swarovski family we have to think of here, it's an Act of Charity buying over-priced binoculars, and if you can add in Acts of Faith and Hope, you are Redeeming your Eternal Soul. (Non-birders just don't understand how deep this goes....)

and what's Mrs. Sancho's opinion on all this? ;)
