Hi All, can anyone please help? This morning I had a bird in my garden tree which I couldn't identify by it's call & I didn't get to see it. It sounded like a warbler,a bit like a chiff chaff with a sore throat!! The song was also fairly similar to the chiff chaff but not quite so smooth, was repetitive & went on for several minutes before flying off. It's probably something common & though I'm not too bad on regular calls this one had me foxed. Any ideas please???

sounds like a warbler of some sort perhaps - try listening to whitethroat and blackcap.

If it sounds like a chiffchaff albeit with a sore throat ..it probably is a chiffchaff
