Bird in Prague, Czech Republic (1 Viewer)

We moved to Prague in August and have enjoyed the bird life we are getting in our local area, especially the gardens that we can see from our flat. We have recently spotted for the first time a Peregrine on St Norbert's Church, Stresovice (14/02/13), and also a Goshawk in a Stresovice garden today (16/02/13). A bit different to the Kestrels and Sparrowhawks which occasionally fly over. Maybe they are interested in the influx of finches and tits into the gardens during the cold winter weather. A small group of hawfinches have been joining the greenfinches, goldfinches and siskins. A hawfinch has also started to brave a visit to our top floor balcony. Fantastic birds!

super pictures and i think you would be hard pressed (even thou you have only half the hawfinch in your picture which is a pity) to get a better close up than that of the hawfinch anywhere otherwords a great photograph one i would be truly pleased with.
