Monk's Parakeet (1 Viewer)

Having a complete random thought this evening...

Sometime in 2011, I heard about a proposed cull of the feral population of Monk's Parakeets in Borehamwood, North London. My understanding is that the population of the birds at the time was about 75 to 150 and that the cull was against considerable opposition from local resident groups and that the proposed cost of the cull was so many thousand of pounds per bird.

Two years on, I am wondering what happened? Did the cull go ahead?

Are the Monk's Parakeets still to be found in that area?

Thanks
