advice needed - Kowa TSN-1 25x LER (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

I purchased a used TSN-1 and it has a 25X LER eyepiece.

The eyepiece was in 2 parts when I got it - a small 20mm lens that screws into the bottom of the eyepiece and the eyepiece itself.

I noticed without the small lens I could not focus at long distances but when the smaller lens was screwed in all was fine.

Is the small lens supposed to always be in place or is it some option ? I called Kowa USA and they had no information.

Unfortunately i can't find any documentation for the TSN-1 on the web.

Thanks

Don in Va.

I have the same eyepiece in my TSN-2 scope. That small lens is an integral part of the eyepiece and should be screwed in tight. Mine did come loose once, by itself, after years of use.

Thanks for the reply. I will keep it intact,
